Tour itinerary for a 10 days trip to Morocco departing from Casablanca. You’re going to see a ton of amazing destinations in these ten days and nine nights. Visiting Casablanca is the first stop on the itinerary. Next are the Roman ruins at Volubilis, the blue city of Chefchaouen, and the capital of Morocco, Rabat. In addition, you will travel to the cultural center of Fes, the capital of the Ismailis, Meknes, and Ifrane, Morocco’s Switzerland. The magnificent Ziz valley, Midelt, the Cedars Forest, and the Rissani traditional market are all visited on our drive south.
In addition to the fossil-rich town of Erfoud, there is Merzouga in the Sahara desert. Where you can spend the night in an opulent camp in the middle of the desert and ride camels. Savor the captivating dusk and dawn in the desert as well.
We will meet you at the Casablanca Airport, depending on the time of your flight, and then we begin our 10 days desert tour from Casablanca. We will then have some free time to explore Mosque Hassan II. We will thereafter go to Rabat city, where you will spend the night.
On today’s excursion, we will drive around the Royal Palace’s walls, make a visit to the mausoleums of Hassan II and Mohammed V, and take a self-guided tour of the magnificent Oudayas Kasbah and the old walled city. Once we get in Chefchaouen, which is known as the “blue city,” you will have four hours to explore the city’s Jewish Quarter, Outa-el-Hamma Square, and old Medina. There are also a lot of different artisan stores, outside dining establishments, and cafés where you may unwind and enjoy food. Free time and an overnight stay in a hotel in Chefchaouen.
After a filling breakfast at the riad in the morning, we’ll travel to Volubilis, stopping along the way in the towns of Ouazan and the other Rif. We will have the chance to view Roman ruins and learn about Moroccan culture during our trip to Volubilis. Following that, we’ll go to Bab el Mansour and have lunch in Meknes, a historically significant city that was founded in the seventeenth century. We drive to Fes in the late afternoon, where you will spend the night.
A guided tour of Fez, the cultural center of the world and one of the best-preserved medieval Islamic cities in the world, will take up your entire day. Enter through Bab Ftouh and explore the Andalusian area with its stunning mosque. Proceed through the tanning, dying, and copper production sectors to reach Seffarine.
On the campus of the University of Al-Karouine lies the oldest mosque in Africa. Pause for a minute in front of the grave of Idris I, the man who is credited with creating Fes. Every time you are in the neighborhood, you have to view the well-known Nejjarine fountain. The magnificent Nejjarine Museum of Wood Arts and Crafts should not be missed. You will go to the Attarine Medersa in the afternoon.
We will pause in front of Bab Boujouloud, the “blue Gate” of Fes, while we continue our exploration of the medina. When touring the city walls, make sure to stop at Borj Norj for a stunning view of the medina below. Discover the past of the Jewish-inhabited neighborhood and have a look outside the Imperial Palace. Next up is the pottery neighborhood. You will then visit an artisan complex on the outskirts of the city before returning to your riad.
On the fifth day of our 10 days Morocco tour from Casablanca, we will travel to the Sahara and stop at many sites, including Ifrane, sometimes referred to as “Moroccan Switzerland.” To see the monkeys hanging among the trees, we’re going to pause at Cedar Forest. Proceed southward across the expansive palm groves and oasis settlements found in the Ziz valley of southern Morocco, which is accessible via the Middle Atlas Mountains. The city of Erfoud, which is renowned for its fossil museums and dates, will be your next stop.
We’ll take a camel ride in the Merzouga Desert to witness the breathtaking sunset over the vast Chebbi sand dunes. At a Merzouga luxury desert camp in Morocco, we will have dinner when the sun sets and spend the night under a starry and crystal-clear sky deep in the Sahara. Following supper, we’ll spend the night at a lively Berber celebration with drumming.
Get up early today to watch the sun rise over the dunes of Erg Chebbi. Following your desert camp breakfast and shower, you’ll take a camel or 4×4 ride back to Merzouga Village. After getting into the car, we’ll travel to Rissani to tour the town and its historic market.
The tour continues through a number of other Berber settlements, such as Tinjdad, Jourf, a community famous for its ancient irrigation wells, and Mellab. Our next stop is Todra Valley, with its spectacular canyons rising to a height of 300 meters. It is true that the force of the water forces its way through the clefts in the rocks. After taking a stroll around the gorge, we’ll head to Dades Valley for an overnight stay.
As we proceed to the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, which is 27 kilometers outside of Ouarzazate and has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, we will pass through the Roses Valley and the Skoura oasis on our trip to Ouarzazate today. Hollywood films including “Lawrence of Arabia,” “Gladiator,” “Kingdom of Heaven,” “Prince of Persia,” and many more have featured its stunning vistas. Moroccan architecture and culture are exemplified by the walled palaces known as Kasbahs in the south.
After exploring the kasbah on foot, we’ll travel through the Atlas Mountains’ “Tichka Pass,” where we’ll be treated to breath-taking vistas and Berber settlements en route until we arrive in Marrakech, where you’ll sleep for the night.
The first stop on the Marrakesh Guided Tour will be the Koutoubia mosque’s 12th-century tiled minaret, which is considered the city’s most iconic landmark. Next, take a tour of Palais Bahia, a 19th-century palace with gardens, a sizable courtyard, lovely fountains, tiles, and intricate wall carvings. It’s a great place to discover peace and quiet.
The remarkable Saadien Tombs were found in 1917 and have since undergone meticulous restoration and excellent care. They are now among Morocco’s most well-liked tourist destinations. You’ll also go to the fantastic museum in Dar Si Said.
Explore Marrakech’s vibrant souks (marketplaces) in the afternoon. Every trade has its own special quarter, including cedar, enamel, copper, brass, jewelry, spices, and carpets.
Travel toward the bustling Djemaa el Fnaa square in the early evening. It offers constantly-evolving entertainment, culminating at dusk when the square comes alive with acrobats, storytellers, healers, snake charmers, and an endless supply of food vendors.
This day is all about unwinding at home. You have free time to do things like cooking classes, shopping, visiting Majorelle Garden, and using the Hammam & Spa. Spend the night in Marrakech.
