This 10-day trip begins in Marrakech and ends in Tangier, passing through the High Atlas highlands, with their fascinating landscapes and Berber settlements. Continuing south, you will come at the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, Morocco’s famed Kasbah, which has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987.
The 10-day Morocco tour from Marrakech begins with a pick-up from the Marrakech airport. Then we will take a brief tour of the city before transferring you to your hotel. Spend the night at a riad.
After breakfast, we head west towards Essaouira. On the journey, we’ll stop to observe the Argan trees, goats, and panoramic vistas. We arrive in Essaouira, once known as Mogador, one of Morocco’s key coastal cities. We will see the fishing port, the antique cannon-equipped ramparts, and the old medina. Stay in Essaouira overnight.
Following breakfast, we will head to Marrakech to explore the city’s highlights with a local guide. The city is one of Morocco’s imperial cities. The itinerary includes a visit to the Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, and the Ben Youssef Quranic mosque. Walk around Morocco’s largest traditional souk. Lunch break at Jemaa El-Fna Square. Later, you’ll see the Koutoubia mosque, Marrakech’s largest, and the Majorelle Garden. Finally, make your way to your accommodation. Feel free to roam around Jemaa El-Fna on your own.
Today, we continue our 10-day tour from Marrakech by driving via the Tizi-n-Tichka pass in the High Atlas Mountains to reach the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. It is a UNESCO world heritage site.
Then we head to Roses Valley, which is famous for its yearly “Festival of Roses”. When we get at Dades Gorges, we stay in a local hotel.
Today, we will drive to the Todra Gorges, where we will be able to stroll through the small canyon. Hikers adore it. Then we drive through Ziz Valley to Erfoud, which is famous for its fossils. We may go to a local fossil factory and shop where you can buy mementos.
We continue to Rissani, where we will explore the local souk, which is well-known. We drive into the desert till we reach Merzouga, where we begin our camel ride into the dunes.
We’ll ride camels with a knowledgeable camel guide. We arrive at the Merzouga Desert Camp and spend the night in desert tents. You will have dessert and listen to Berber music around the campfire. This will be a night to remember.
We spent today visiting the Merzouga desert. You can attempt sand-boarding, ski on the dunes, or explore the area by 4×4.
We will go to Khamlia village, which is famous for its music. We couldn’t pass up the opportunity to watch the gorgeous sunset in the dunes and spent the night in Berber tents with traditional music and a delicious dinner
After witnessing the sunrise in the desert, we proceed to explore Rissani, Tafilalet’s old capital. Rissani remains an important trading town in the region, with a huge and bustling souk. After a tour around Rissani souk, we continue to Erfoud and visit one of the fossilized marble workshops.
Following that, we travel down the Ziz River, stopping for a panoramic view of the valley. In Midelt, you have free time for lunch. Then we head to the cedar forest, where the Barbary Macaques live. Feel free to feed them while strolling through the forest. Following that, we visit Ifrane, which is known for its cold temperatures, snow, and alpine-style houses. It’s no surprise that it’s known as Morocco’s Switzerland. Finally, we will leave you off to your Fes lodging.
We will pick you up from your Fes the hotel after breakfast to explore the city. In addition to being Morocco’s cultural and religious center, the city is regarded as one of its imperial cities.
We begin the day by visiting the Royal Palace Gate. Then there’s the well-preserved medieval Medina, which has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Blue Gate, also known as Bab Boujloud, marks the entrance to the old Medina. You will enter the Medina with a local guide. To visit the Medrasa Bouanania, the Najjarine Fountain, and the Tanneries. Finally, there is the Quaraouin Mosque and University, the world’s oldest university. Following that, we leave the Medina to explore the Jewish district known as “the Mellah”.
Following breakfast, we head for Meknes, the Ismaili capital and one of the royal cities. We will visit Bab Al-Mansour, the Sahrij Souani basin, the Royal stables, the granary, and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. Lunch break. Next, we go 30 kilometers from Meknes to the old Roman ruins of Volubilis. It is well-preserved because UNESCO has designated it a World Heritage site. It features several exquisite mosaics spread throughout, as well as old pillars and arches.
After exploring the ruins, we head north through Ouazzane to Chefchaouen in the Rif Mountains. Also known as Blue City. The city is well-known for its blue-painted houses and lanes. Overnight stay in hotel.

Although there is no roadway connecting Marrakech and Merzouga, there are public transportation connections between the two Moroccan cities; however, this is not a quick trip. The road from Marrakech to Merzouga is more than 560 kilometers long, passing through a dangerous portion of the High Atlas highlands before dropping into the Sahara desert.
