We travel through Imouzzer to the south after breakfast in order to see Ifrane. The city is well-known for its frigid temperatures, snowfall, and homes with alpine architectural styles. It makes sense why it is referred to as Morocco’s Switzerland. Next, we head into the Cedars Forest, home of the Barbary macaques. While exploring the forest, feel free to give them food. We travel on to Midelt later, where we shall eat lunch on our own. Next, we make breaks for expansive vistas as we travel through the Ziz valley and the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass.
We arrive at Merzouga, the Sahara desert, in the afternoon. At this point, you transfer on camels and ride through the sandy desert, pausing to take in the sunset atop a tall dune. Next, proceed to the camp, which combines the comforts of a hotel with the traditional nomadic tents. where you can dance around the campfire while listening to the music of the Berber drums under a wide open sky full of stars.
