Itinerary of 7 days tour from Tangier:

Day 1:Tangier → Assilah → Rabat.

The driver from My Marrakech Desert Tours will pick you up from the port or hotel at around 8:00 am. Our 7-day itinerary from Tangier to Marrakech, Morocco, begins in Assilah. En route, we’ll stop at the Hercule caverns, located in Tangier’s Atlantic Ocean. Then, proceed to Asillah, where we will have free time to explore the medina’s historic buildings and breathtaking vistas. We continue on to Rabat, the capital of Morocco, where we spend the night in a riad.

Day 2:Rabat → Chefchaoun

We will visit the Royal Palace and the mausoleums of Hassan II and Muhammad V, two emperors who collaborated closely with the Jewish community, on the second day of our 7 day itinerary from Tangier to Marrakech. After that, take the Rif Mountains to Chefchaouen. We’ll arrive in Chefchaouen in the afternoon, giving you time to explore this lovely town and spend the night in your riad while taking in the views of the Rif Mountains.

Day 3: Chefchaouen → the Roman ruins of Volubilis → Meknes → Fes

Following a delicious breakfast at the riad, we continue our 7-day desert tour from Tangier to Ouazan and other Rif settlements on our way to the Volubilis crossing. We will explore the Roman ruins of Volubilis and get knowledge about Moroccan history there. Then, after driving to Meknes City (the old 17th-century city), we will pause for lunch, explore the ancient walls of the medina, see bab el Mansour, and take in a tour of Moulay Ismail Greenery. Our destination is Fes city, where you will spend the night later in the day.

On your full-day excursion of Fes today, you will explore Morocco’s cultural capital. The world’s oldest university is located at this UNESCO World Heritage Site, also known as Fes el Bali, which dates back to the ninth century. Under the Merinids, Fes overthrew Marrakech as the capital of the kingdom and had its zenith in both the economic and cultural spheres in the 13th and 14th centuries. Even yet, Rabat became Morocco’s new governmental capital in 1919. Fes continues to be recognized as the nation’s hub for artisans. The industrial sector of the city is greatly bolstered by the artisan workshops located in the medina, which remain operational even after a century. These workshops still carry out trades including blacksmithing, leatherworking, porcelain, silk, tapestries, and sculpting. This historic city, with its estimated 9000 small alleys and busy streets, is still guarded by its original ramparts.

Day 5:Fes → Ifrane → Cedars forest → Midelt → Ziz valley → Merzouga Sahara

We continue toward the middle Atlas Mountains on the fifth day of our 5 days desert excursion from Tangier to Marrakech. As you traverse the Atlas Mountains and start to descend toward the Moroccan Sahara desert, you will spend the most of the day touring through stunning cedar forests, craggy rock faces, and Berber settlements. Along the way, you’ll eat lunch. Rocks and fossils are the main draws of Midelt, where we shall make a halt. With views of the expansive Ziz valley below, we proceed with our 7-day Morocco itinerary along mountainous roads. We’ll pass through the adobe-colored city of Errachidia as we make our way across vast Kasbahs and palm plantations.

We will arrive in Merzouga late in the afternoon. You will go to the Sahara desert camp via Merzouga camel rides over the Erg Chebbi Dunes. When you get there, you can go sandboarding and take in the sunset. Glamping in a Sahara desert camp for the night with Berbers, who will serve you dinner and entertain you with drumming around the campfire. Before turning in for the night, take pleasure in stargazing. Spend the night in a personal tent in the desert.

Day 6:Merzouga → Todgha Gorges → Dades Valley

We will enjoy breakfast with stunning views of Dades Valley on the final day of our 7-day desert tour from Tangier to Marrakech. then proceed through the Skoura Oasis palm plantations and Rose Valley on our way to Marrakech.

We shall make a brief stop at the Taourirt Kasbah in Ouarzazate during our next trip. We will arrive to Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site, after traveling 27 km on the route. It served as the setting for a number of Hollywood productions, such as “Prince of Persia,” “Lawrence of Arabia,” “Gladiator,” “Kingdom of Heaven,” and many more.
