In addition to the second-longest river in the nation, the Ziz Valley, the Cedar Gouraud Forest in Azrou, and the camel trek experience, guests can also enjoy an overnight stay at a desert camp with views of the sunset and sunrise over Erg Chebbi’s dunes.
The UNESCO World Heritage Site of ksar Ait Benhaddou, the stunning Todra valley and canyon, the Dades Valley and Taourirt Kasbah, the film studios in Ouarzazate, and the traditional weekly market of Rissani are all stops on our 4 days desert tour from Casablanca.
And before we get to Marrakech, there are the high Atlas Mountains, where we’ll pause a few times to take in the magnificent sights and charming little Berber communities.
Your driver from My Marrakech Desert Tours will pick you up to begin your 4 days Morocco tour, which will begin in Casablanca and travel through Rabat. We will see the Old Kasbah of Udayas and the Hassan Tower. Meknes, another significant Moroccan imperial city.
Then, we proceed to Fes after stopping at the well-known Bab El Mansour gate, the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum, and the Sahrij Souani. Stay overnight at a riad or hotel.
We drive out of Fes and into the Merzouga desert after enjoying a delicious breakfast in your riad. Ifrane is a stunning village located in the Middle Atlas Mountains, and it will be our first stop. People frequently refer to it as Morocco’s Switzerland. This is a brief pause, and then we continue driving across the Middle Atlas Mountains. To see some uncommon Barbary macaques in the wild, we will pause for a bit in a cedar grove. Along the way, we’ll stop for lunch at a restaurant. Proceed towards the desert by way of the Tizi N Telghemt and the Ziz Valley thereafter.
Reach Merzouga Town, a little community bordering Erg Chebbi Dunes, in the late afternoon. This is where your guide and camels will be ready to transport you to your desert camp across the Sahara. While traveling to your camp, you will pause at a tall dune to observe a serene sunset over the enormous sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. Continue the ride after that.
When you get to the camp, you’ll be welcomed with a cup of tea. Before suppertime, unwind in your personal tent. You will be seated around a bonfire with Berbers following a delicious dinner. Take in the starry sky, listen to some Berber music, and converse about the culture.
Since you are already in the desert, it is worthwhile to get up early today to see the sunrise close to the camp. After these beautiful moments, you will eat breakfast and take a shower at the camp. Afterward, you can either take a 4WD back to the starting point, where you will meet your driver, or you can ride the camels.
Continuing your Casablanca to Marrakech desert tour, you will visit the weekly market in Rissani if it falls on one of the market days (Sunday, Tuesday, or Thursday). We will also travel through small Berber villages like Touroug, Tinjdad, and Tinghir, stopping along the way to take in the stunning Todra valley with its lush vegetation and palm trees.
We make our way to the Todra Gorge, which is renowned among rock climbers and situated at the base of the high Atlas Mountains. Here, we have some free time to explore the high valleys.after taking a lunch break, we’ll head to Boumalne Dades in the afternoon, arriving in Dades Valley in the evening, have supper, and spend the night at a hotel or riad.
We will depart for Marrakech on the last day of your 4 days Morocco tour from Casablanca following a delicious breakfast at your hotel.
First, we’ll go through Kalaat M’Gouna, a city renowned for its rose-filled valley in the spring, on our way to Ouarzazate. We will travel to Atlas Studio in Ouarzazate, which is the largest film set in the world, where you are welcome to tour (optional).
The second place we visit is the historic Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a remarkable example of southern Moroccan architecture. The town’s fortification served as the backdrop for numerous well-known movies, including Gladiator, Prince of Persia, Lawrence of Arabia, and The Mummy. Indeed, in Game of Thrones, it became the metropolis of Yunkai.
Third, following our exploration of the Kasbah, we will head to Marrakech, passing over the High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi-N-Tichka Pass, which rises to a height of 2260 meters (7415 feet) above sea level. Before arriving in Marrakech, there will be a few stops along the way. Dropping you off at your riad in Marrakech marks the end of your 4 days Morocco tour from Casablanca.
Your exploration should be restricted to one primary region during your brief 4-day visit to Morocco. Take a popular tour across the northern cities of Morocco: Casablanca, Rabat, Meknes, and Fes.
